Carrs Tool Steels Limited is announcing exciting changes
to its business:
The company is introducing ten exclusive new toolsteel and aluminium
products that will directly enhance its customer's productivity and profitability.
Operational changes will provide even higher levels of customer service
and information flow.
The logo and trading title is being changed to reflect these changes..
Managing Director Bill Church says, "Since our MBO in 1992, Carrs has
seen a significant move towards the supply of new, high technology materials for tooling.
These new materials are manufactured by our worldwide partners who represent the leading
edge of technological expertise.

Productivity improvement is the key to the success of UK manufacturing
industry and Carrs Toolsteel Technologies has new products to shorten time to market,
increase production rates, dramatically increase tool life and avoid product defects.
Customers will benefit from a new and higher level of technical advice on material
selection and application based on research and experience throughout the world. We
believe that our new logo and title reflect this change in our business emphasis".
The company is currently introducing around 10 new grades of material that
will be of great value to manufacturers in the hot work, cold work and plastic moulding
industries enabling them to increase productivity, profitability and product quality.

New products and technical back up are not the only changes taking place;
the customer support and contact programme is changing to better meet the needs of today's
customers.
Our website (www.carrs-tool.co.uk) is being developed continually and
further technical data will be added to improve the already extensive information
available. Communications by e-mail in addition to the more traditional 'phone and fax
will improve contact possibilities.
The internal sales team is being reorganised to ensure even higher levels
of service.
The external sales team will work closely with their internal sales
colleagues to ensure that customers receive the visits they require when they require
them. This will mark a change from the practice of routine visits that are not always
welcomed by busy customers.
Bill Church added, "The year 2002 will see the 100th
anniversary of the original founding of Carrs and the 10th anniversary of the
Management Buy Out. We anticipate that all these changes will be completed by then and we
are planning an open day for customers and suppliers to meet the Carrs team and see our
facilities". |
