The Interplas exhibition at Birmingham's
National Exhibition Centre provided the ideal setting for the company to launch six new
products for the plastic moulding industry. Visitors were intrigued by the "steel
that breathes" Porcerax exhibit and impressed by the high quality Mercedes bumper
moulding produced in the new Buderus steel Thruhard Supreme. For those visitors using
Aluminium as a tooling material, Carrs new range of Alumold high strength mould plate was
the main area of interest particularly as the maximum thickness available will shortly be
increased to 500mm. Moulders working in clean environments and with aggressive polymers
were impressed with the machinability and weldability of Carrs new RoyAlloy stainless
mould base steel.
Andrew Eastwood, Carrs Sales Director said "the show was a great
success for us and I would particularly like to thank the hard working exhibition team -
both Carrs staff and those from our suppliers who gave us so much support".
