We are delighted to announce the addition
of TOOLOX 33 and TOOLOX 44 to our stock range. These new pre-hardened tool steels are
produced by the famous Swedish maker SSAB Oxelösund whose product range includes the well
known brands WELDOX and HARDOX.
For the toolmaker and user, these steels bring several significant
advantages: As well as being pre-hardened, they are readily machinable. TOOLOX 33 is
delivered pre-hardened at 33 HRC . It is a free machining grade easier to machine than
2312 / P20S, as well as being superb for polishing and etch graining, as good if not
better than 2311 / P20 and 2738 / P20N)
TOOLOX 44 is delivered pre-hardened at 45 HRC The hardest available pre
hardened material on the market. Offering superior polishing and etch graining. Both
steels have remarkably high toughness (well above competing P20 type it is the only
toolsteel available to have its toughness guaranteed) and have exceptional stability with
minimal movement even in very long lengths.
