Comments: The worked material is tough and tools produced
in conventional D2 were subject to chipping and seizing. High temperature tempering and
high hardness are important in preventing seizing and extending the life of die edges.
DC53 was able to satisfy both requirements |

Comments: Tools made with conventional D2 required early
grinding as the result of chipping and local seizing of threads. Working with stainless
steel requires high toughness, high hardness and high resistance to temper softening. DC53
proved fully effective. |
